As the Silk Road closed and the Age of
Discovery initiated, humans were able to
achieve better lives.
They used the goods that were brought
from other countries to increase their
basic standards of living.
The goods that were brought would also
help countries increase their military
power and increase their scientific
knowledge.
Due to these events, globalization
initiated. Countries were greatly
influenced by each other, and eventually
shaped the world as it is in the present.
