     They believed that once a khukuri is
      drawn out in the battle, the khukuri
      had to taste blood of their enemies
      before returning to it’s sheath.
      They were sent in the front lines of
      the battle because they didn’t fear
      the bullets once they had khukuris
      in their hands.
      The British knew they could fight
      hard with their khukuris. “Better to
      die than to be coward”, they used to
