Instructor: Anna Maria Cicirello

Anna is an Executive Director with KPMG’s forensic practice, based in Toronto, Canada.
She has been practicing forensic accounting for over 15 years. Prior to specializing in
forensic accounting, she worked for several years as an auditor.
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and holds both the CFF (Certified in Financial
Forensics), ABV (Accredited Business Valuator) and CGMA (Certified Global Management
Accountant) credentials. She is also a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered
Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). She has
conducted engagements across the United States of America, Canada, Asia and the
Caribbean. Her work has facilitated several government, regulatory and law enforcement
agencies.
She has extensive experience in investigations, anti-bribery and corruption, dispute
advisory and data analytics across a broad range of industries, including government and
not-for-profit organizations. She served as a university instructor for several years
teaching intermediate accounting and auditing. She has authored several articles and
regularly develops training materials for clients and organizations. In 2015 she was
recognized by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) with a
Standing Ovation Award in Forensic and Valuation Services. She has been involved with
several AICPA boards and committees since 2012. Anna has previously taught both live
and online versions of this course.
