Introduction

Certified information technology professionals (CITPs) will be exposed to many situations that involve
the analysis of disparate sets of data utilized by an organization. More often than not, that data will not
be in a normalized format. When conducting these data-based engagements, CITPs must understand the
concept of information lifecycle management and how to map data. CITPs must also recognize the
importance of utilizing data warehouses to better manage the data being analyzed.

Once normalized, the CITP will need to understand the different forms of data analytics that can be
performed and then report on such results utilizing data visualization tools.
