The clearing sale at Manaia at the end of June 1909 gives some idea of the assets
James George had accumulated, and an indication of the quality of dairy farm, and
dairy herd, that he was about to leave behind.
The last paragraph of the clearing sale advertisement repeats the rumour that James
George is about to take up a farm in the Waikato.
