Allah Almighty said about Quran:
َ ذ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ َ
َٰ
ينِقت ملِل ىده ۛ ِهيِف ۛ بير ل باتِكلا كِلذ
“This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt,
guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqoon [the pious]” (Quran, 2:2)
The Holy Qur’an is a source of immense inspiration, guidance
and wisdom for millions of Muslims all over the world. Qur’an is a
practical guide for us in all affairs, be they social, cultural, legal,
economic or political.
Qur’an does not merely contain stories of Prophets or an
analogue of Islamic history. It contains an array of topics to be of use
in ones daily life. Codes of behavior and their limits are explained,
mutual rights and responsibilities of men, women, children are laid
down as well as international principles to be used to govern
communities, countries and nations.
Brothers and sisters in Islam,
How can the Qur’an become a guiding force for us ? Qur’an
can become a guiding force in our daily lives if we always listen,
recite and understand it with it’s meaning. Allah promises that
everyone who recite, listen and try to understand the meaning of
Qur’an will get many good benefits.
One of its benefits is that reading Qur’an with its meaning can
purify our heart. Reading Qur’an has a direct influence on the heart of
the reader or the listener. When a Muslim recites Quran, it effects the
heart and purifies it by cleaning it from all the impurities that stick on
it. Allah Almighty says in Quran:
