The Preschool through Secondary IV students
who stayed local had an equally interesting week.
The Preschool students learned what it meant
to be a nurse, and practiced nursing skills. They
took walking field trips into the big-kid area of
the school. Elementary students took part in class
activities such as leaf art and Moldovan crafts, and
took field trips to waterfalls, an historic monastery,
a cookie factory, behind the scenes of an airport,

students started the week with a service-learning
opportunity in a nearby community, where they
helped a family in need create a safe environment
for their children. Then they toured an opera house,
and concluded the week by participating in an
escape room—and later creating their own escape
rooms as a team-building exercise.
It was such a great experience for our whole
school environment. The way the students, parents,
and staff worked together to make this such a
success shows what our school is all about. It is
about the whole child, and helping the students
keep the eagerness of learning alive.
