A survey from the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice, revealed that more than 60 percent of students had experienced food insecurity within the past thirty days.
Feeling insecure about where to find the next meal can impact a student’s physical and mental health and affect grades and enrollment rates. To help address this issue on the campuses we serve, in 2019 Corvias donated $1,000 to each of our partner schools that wanted to participate. Most schools were able to add to their pantries, but for those schools that didn’t have a pantry, the donation helped them start one.
Representatives from the University System of Georgia Partnership receive a donation of $10,000 for their schools’ pantries.
“We are so appreciative of your generous donation to support THE STORE@HU, the student food pantry. Your generous donations has aided in supporting our students with food insecurity challenges.”
