PARTNER IN PHILANTHROPY
In November 2019 Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (RISE) named Corvias a Partner in Philanthropy. RISE, which mentors children whose parents have been incarcerated and works to provide them with private school scholarships, is an organization close to the heart of Corvias’ Rhode Island team. The Rhode Island office not only sponsors a child, but Community Representative Moira Murphy looks for other meaningful ways to help this outstanding organization that has changed the lives of so many. For example, a few of the team members gave up their lunch time to help RISE with its annual fundraising appeal.

“While our two oldest kids were home for the Christmas break, we went as a family and worked in a local food bank, called Three Square. For several hours we packed boxes of non-perishable food items
that were then distributed to homeless shelters in our area. It was a fun and worthwhile activity for our family that got our kids’ noses out of their phones and focused their attention on doing something for someone else. It always feels good to provide service to someone in need.”
