Double trucker’s hitch

There are two ways of ‘doubling’ a trucker’s hitch.

One makes it more secure, and the other increases
the amount of leverage, or ‘purchase’, in the pulley

system. Or for a more secure pulley with extra
purchase, do both!

1 To create a more secure knot, simply add an extra turn to the

‘sheepshank’ part of the loop. Recommended for slippery lines.
