Oval mat
If you’re ready, the oval mat will really put your
knot-tying skills to the test. If you get stuck, it’s
worth pinning the strands down to a polystyrene or
plywood board. Tie it in cord for an epaulette or
coaster, or use thicker line to make a salty looking
door or deck mat.
1 Put three overhand loops in the end of the line (the standing part is to
the right in this picture).
