Constrictor knot with loop
The constrictor knot might be a vicious beast in
its original form, but it can be tamed by the addition
of a simple drawloop. It’s still more secure than a
clove hitch, and you won’t need a knife to remove it.
The perfect compromise?
1 Tie a constrictor knot (Day 36), but, after tucking the working end under
the first part of the original turn, put a bight in the end.
