Constrictor knot
The constrictor knot is only very slightly more
complicated than the clove hitch, but it’s infinitely
more secure. Like the clove hitch, it lends itself to
being tied in several different ways.
1 Pass the working end around the item to be bound – rope, bag, hose,
body part, or whatever.
