Shoelaces 12: The side knot

There’s more to this eccentric lacing than meets

the eye. And while it might seem like a lot of effort
just to stand out from the crowd, you also have to

ask yourself: why knot?

1 Centre the laces and thread them through the bottom holes. Thread the

right-hand lace through the second hole up on the right-hand side, then

across and through the second hole up on the left-hand side, and then the

fourth hole up on that side.
