This trick can’t help but impress friends and

influence people. Known as the tugboat bowline, it’s
not strictly speaking a bowline and it’s probably

never been used on a tug – but who cares? It’s still
the coolest knot on the planet.

1 Starting position. The line should be reasonably taut and held firmly

under the right foot.
