Tie 2: Windsor

Named after the Duke of Windsor (aka King

Edward VIII) – even though he probably never used
it – the Windsor is wider and better balanced than

the ubiquitous four in hand knot. Best used with a
wide or cutaway collar.

1 Loop the tie around your neck, with the wide end about 12in (30.5cm)

lower than the narrow end. Cross the wide end over the narrow end, then

pass it up between your collar and the tie back over the narrow end.
