Simple coil
Keeping your lines neat and tidy is one of the
secrets of happy knot-tying, and learning to coil
them properly is the first step in that direction.
Pretty soon you’ll be able to do it with your eyes
closed.
1 Make a coil. Start with the standing part of the line in your (non-
dominant) hand and slide your other (dominant) hand along the line to
form the loops. If you’re coiling a long length of line, use your full arm
span to create each coil, and repeat the same span for each coil to keep
them even.
