Scaffold knot
Hangmen were once busy people and didn’t
always have time to tie the full hangman’s knot,
which is presumably why they devised this quick,
easy-to-tie version with fewer turns. The scaffold
knot makes a, simple sliding noose that can also be
used as a hitch on a rail or spar. It also works very
well with paracord.
1 Put an underhand loop in the end of the line.
