Broach bend
This knot is clearly inspired by the approach of
the zeppelin bend and others – except that it uses
interlocking figure-eights instead of overhand knots.
Think of it as a pair of figure-eights with the final
tuck made in the opposite knot. It is a secure way of
joining medium-sized lines without risk of jamming.
1 Interlock a pair of overhand loops.
