Dyneema reduction splice

Dyneema doesn’t melt in the way previous

synthetic lines did, so simply burning the ends with a
butane whipping isn’t an option, and the needle and

thread are making a comeback. The best way to do
this is with this reduction splice.

1 Use a sail needle and twine to put a stitch through the case and core of

the line. This will prevent any movement while making the splice.
