Figure-eight bend
If the overhand bend (Day 15) isn’t as secure as
you’d like it to be, then try the figure-eight bend.
Unlike a simple overhand knot, it can almost always
be untied and is perfect for quick, easy way of tying
two lines together that definitely won’t jam.
1 Tie a figure-eight knot in one of the lines, and insert the working end of
the other line through the end loop.
