Spectra splice

It took centuries of evolution to work out the

best way to splice traditional ropes, and no doubt
the same will be true of the current generation of

high-modulus ropes. There are other new methods
emerging all the time. Try as many as you can and

see which works best for you!

1 Overlap the two ends and tape them together with electrical tape, so

each end is about 10–12in (25–30cm) long.
