Chinese lanyard
If you were a bit nonplussed by the simplicity of
the Matthew Walker loop, then this knot might be for
you. Also known as the plafond knot, this loop looks
more complicated on the page than it is in real life.
Use it for a knife lanyard, alone or as part of a series
of knots.
1 Fold the line in half and form a bight at the centre. If attaching a knife,
slide the ring into the bight now. Tie a pair of overhand knots.
