Twin bowline

If you’re a fan of the bowline (and who isn’t?), this

‘bowline bend’ might appeal. It’s not the quickest
knot to tie and it can be a fiddle to get the legs just

the right length, but there’s something very
appealing about its simple symmetry. Tie it in white

and black lines and you’ve got yourself a perfect yin-

yang bowline!

1 Put an overhand loop in the end of one line, then pass the working end

of the other line up through the loop.
