Sewing knot 8: Russian join
For those who like a challenge, the Russian join is
one of the hardest ways of joining two threads. It’s
also one of the smoothest and strongest, being more
like a nautical splice than a knot.
1 Thread one of the ends onto your needle. Starting at least a needle’s
length from the end, weave the end of the needle through alternative
strands of the second thread.
