SUMMER OF ‘96

We’re the Matrix of this year;
so we’re gonna party on.

Listen to our story now,
it’s the SUMMER OF ’96.

We are the guys from school -
Passed exams ‘cause we’ll try real hard.
Then it’s time to go our own way,
in a world where we can get far!

“Oh” - and when we’ll look back then,

this won’t seem lost forever
and if we have a choice – yeah –
we’re always gonna look back.
This is the best year of our lives!

Ain’t no use in complaining,
when we got a job to do.
Spend weekends working and trying,
so that we’ll pull it through – yeah -
Now that we are almost there.
Our mem’ries will keep us going,
“Oh” - even when we scream out loud,
we know that it is now forever.
These are the best days of our lives.
Now in the Summer of ’96 “Oh”!!

Man – we are the special kind!
We are the Generation that parties all the time.
I guess it’s something that lasts forever,
forever – yeah - !!
And now the time starts changing;
look at everything that’s come and gone.
Sometime in the very near future,
we’ll think about how well we have turned out.

Standing on our own two feet,
which won’t be that big challenge.
“Oh” – and when we look back then,
we know that it will always take us back
to the best days of our lives,
