EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S BRIEF

Dear Members,

So much has happened in our world since I last wrote.
The Coronavirus or Covid-19 started as an inconvenience
for some, but within weeks became a global pandemic that
changed life as we know it. We were forced to cancel our
Midterm Meeting in Panama City, Panama just days before
many of us were scheduled to fly there. In the past weeks we
renegotiated with the W Hotel to reschedule Panama for March
2022.

Things change daily with this virus. It seems that for the most
part things are improving as I write this, but so many “experts”
have so many opinions, and some differ greatly. As I write this,
many states and countries are beginning to ease restrictions
and open up. I hope the trend continues over the coming
weeks and months. I hope the uncertainties you have
experienced for your business and families will soon be just a bad
memory. Most of all, I hope your families and you maintain good
health.

Our next gathering will be our 95th Annual Conference in
Aruba scheduled for September 8th through 12th at the Hyatt
Regency Resort, Span, and Casino. Many of us look forward to
traveling again and enjoying some time with our friends and
colleagues in a safe environment. You will find all details on our
website at www.wad.net . The first members to make a hotel
reservation will enjoy an upgrade to a higher floor with pool and
ocean views. We will be certain to update additional information
on the website as it becomes available.
