building in Manchester. When Dan Nichols retires from a lifetime career in the army and returns to his birth city of Manchester to
spend his autumn years living a quiet relaxing life, he moves into a compact modern apartment situated on the edge of the city
centre.

How could he know that this “quiet relaxing life” would in reality be anything but that. It doesn’t take long before this anticipated
new lifestyle is turned on it’s head when it becomes apparent that all other six occupants of the same apartment building he now
calls his home have their own individual secrets until now locked behind their closed doors.

Now aged 63 and never
married, Dan had joined the
Army as a teenager on the same
day as his schoolboy pal Billy.
The two friends had grown up
together throughout their entire
childhood.
When Dan manages to
eventually track down his old pal,
who on leaving the Army had
joined the Manchester Police
Force but is also now retired,
the two soon rekindle their early
friendship, and humour and
its not long before the unlikely
aging duo find themselves
inadvertently embroiled in
the strange affairs of Dan’s
apartment neighbours.
