Jennifer Guidry
Jennifer Guidry is the Division Vice President of Business Development and Marketing
for Great American Insurance Group’s Alternative Markets Division where she leads the
strategy and execution for the sourcing, due diligence, and onboarding of new program
business for the division. Guidry has held numerous leadership roles of increasing P&L
and organizational responsibility throughout the past 20 years. Prior to Great American,
she spent 15 years at The Hartford. During her tenure at The Hartford, her leadership
roles consisted of managing group and agency captives for The Hartford’s Alternative
Markets Division, Head of the Book Consolidations underwriting organization, and
Program Management of Wrap Ups (OCIP/CCIPS) − loss sensitive and guaranteed cost
construction programs. In addition, her experience extends to the Small Commercial
segment where she led various underwriting and sales teams.
Guidry earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana College, an Executive MBA from the University of Hartford,
and holds a Certificate in Transformational Leadership from the University of Denver. She was named one of Insurance
Business America’s “Elite Women” of 2021. Her professional designations include Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS). She also serves as a board member for Habitat for Humanity of
North Central Connecticut.
Amy O’Brien
In her role of Vice President, Carrier Practice Sales, Amy O’Brien heads up new business
development for programs, captives, and other alternative market claim outsourcing
arrangements for Gallagher Bassett (GB). She serves as the sales liaison to the program
manager, carrier, and other stakeholders. She oversees the financial aspects of the
property/casualty program including proposal process, pricing, and contract. Amy has
over 30 years of experience in claims management. She was named to the 2023 Insurance
Business Hot 100 and has been a past Captive Service Professional of the Year 2022
by Captive Review and is a Captive Power 50 designee. Amy is an advocate for bringing
new and diverse talent into the programs and captive industries. She also volunteers for
industry associations including Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) and
Amplify Women. She is based in the Chicago area.
