We love the place, O God, We love to sing below
in which your honour dwells: of mercies freely given,
the joy of your abode, but O, we long to know
all earthly joy excels. the triumph-song of heaven.
We love the house of prayer: Lord Jesus, give us grace
for where Christ's people meet, on earth to love you more,
our risen Lord is there in heaven to see your face
to make our joy complete. and with your saints adore.
