Up till the end of 2017, Peter Burton
was a full-time practising engineer.
He very much enjoyed music and
composing but it had to play ‘second
fiddle’ to the job he was paid to do!

Since then though, he has the great
privilege of being involved in choral
music pretty much full-time. This
involves singing in choirs, conducting
choirs (his own church choir,
Dundonald Church) and composing.
Peter’s main output is Christian choral
music. His first CD took biblical texts
and set them to music. This is his second CD and has no plans of stopping just yet! Outside
of music, Peter is a keen mountaineer and bird watcher. Both of these often inspire him to

Alleluia Voices
This is a special choir put together for this recording. Many of its members come from
Dundonald Church. The other members come from Wimbledon Choral Society where
Peter sings in the tenor section. He is very appreciative of their services. With further
projects in the pipeline, it is hoped the choir will go from strength to strength.

I have so many people to thank for this recording. Space does not allow me to name them
all. I give special thanks to the choir and all their hard work at rehearsals through the win-
ter months, those supporting me in the project and all those who helped out during the
recording including a great recording team. Finally, my thanks go to my parents for giving
me the opportunity to gain a love for music and to God for inspiring me to compose.
