Sophia studies how sleep patterns and biological
rhythms, known as chronobiology, impact health,
working to uncover connections between daily
cycles, rest, and well-being.
Eva Krueger
The ARCS Foundation Oregon Chapter Scholar
OSU College of Engineering, Robotics
Eva seeks to solve food system problems and
address the labor shortage in agricultural
work through automation improvements in
robotics, easing labor shortages and making
food systems more resilient.
Derek Lilienthal
The ARCS Foundation Oregon Chapter Scholar
OSU College of Engineering, Artificial Intelligence
Derek is developing practical, generalizable
solutions to provide factual and trustworthy AI
information to prevent misinformation, which
will allow AI to aid in more complex tasks.
