Design Concept
The Concept for this design is to provide an office by utilizing design elements from all Amazon products and services to develop
a sophisticated and lively office layout in a 25,000 square feet space, while keeping Amazon’s customer centric approach in mind.
Different design elements are extracted from sources like Amazon’s logos, apps, warehouses, history and futuristic projects.
Amazon is primarily a services company with few products launched in the last couple of years. Amazon has also branched out into
web services and very recently into the grocery business by acquiring Whole Foods. Amazon has a very Customer centric focus on
everything it does. Inspiration for design of this office have been derived by looking at what Amazon uses to provide its services. The
Source of inspiration includes Amazon’s warehouses which form the heart of its online retail services and its huge logistics network
which helps deliver products. App logos used by Amazon for providing its multiple services were also used as a source of inspiration.
The fact that Amazon started off as an online book retailer is also incorporated in the design to remind it’s employees of the company’s roots.
An additional intent of the design is to bring a sense of its customer centric focus and impeccable execution into its corporate culture. The
office design aims to portray the solid foundation, gadgets and multiple businesses in which Amazon is involved in, that make it so successful.
