We plan to fund this year’s grant of $115,610 this week. Can you give us an idea of how you intend to spend $385,610 next year?
At this time we are revamping many parts of this program. We are intentionally developing a path for high school success and/or college and career success. Below are a few of the ideas in motion:
1) At least 4 trips to colleges/universities within the state of Florida which includes cost of transportation and meals
2) Payment of Club Mentors’ salaries, mileage, and benefits
3) Payment of SAT & ACT fee for all students for baseline for SAT and ACT bootcamp; Recurring fees as needed per grade
This will serve for reading concordance score, college acceptance, and Bright Future Scholarship eligibility
4) Payment for SAT & ACT boot camp instructor (varied instructors)
5) Summer Programs (Summer FY23 programming presently being researched)
6) College Application Fees (application and seat fees)
7) Supplies, meals, and snacks (clubs, workshops, professional development meetings)
8) Summer extra duty days for JSP Resource Teacher
9) Incentives such as Top Portfolio Awards
As we continue to improve the working of our program, additional expenses will be added as we differentiate the needs of all of our students. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.
