 TAKE STOCK/JOHNSON SCHOLARS YEAR-END REPORT (9) Gratitude
Your dedication towards helping underserved communities by providing them with opportunities of post-secondary success has been impactful for students in the School District of Palm Beach County. The Johnson Scholars Program and Take Stock in Children, Palm Beach are forever grateful for how you generously contribute in removing barriers that make the post-secondary dreams of our students attainable.
Noted Results of FY23 Program Initiatives:
● 12th Club School welcomed as a new addition to TSICJS: Royal Palm Beach High School
● Increased in club attendance between September and March
● College and Career Readiness Clubs Implemented school-based community service projects
● 100% of graduating seniors earned their College and Career TSICJS Honor Cord
● Surpassed recruitment goal of 125 new students by recruiting a total of 207 new students
● Exposed students to 5 Florida Universities via college tours
● Exposed students to entrepreneurship education via 10X University in MIami
● 1 TSICJS student selected as 10X Kid of the Year and awarded an internship
● 2 TSICJS students selected as UF’s Machen Florida Opportunity Scholarship recipients
● 2 TSICJS students selected as Kelly Strul Emerging Scholars Program recipients
● 3 TSICJS students selected as QuestBridge Award recipients
● 13 TSICJS students participating in the Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge (FELC 5-day summer program at Palm Beach Atlantic University)
● 18 TSICJS students were hired to work a 7-week paid summer internship with the School District of Palm Beach County
