Celebrating Maridel Moulton’s Retirement
Being a part of the Johnson Scholarship Foundation family for over two decades has been a treasured gift. It is indeed rare that an
external consultant has the opportunity to be so tightly woven into the fabric of an organization— helping to craft core values and a vision, facilitate critical strategic meetings, support searches for key staff, and serve as a “thought partner” to leadership. The privilege was mine and it is a reflection of how JSF lives its values.
From the very first work I did for you in Albany, California (where Malcolm rode a bike from his hotel to the JSF office!) through my last engagements helping you search for and select Bobby as your CEO, and transition to a new structure of separating the roles of board chair and CEO, our relationship was always characterized by openness, mutual respect, and warmth. As your board and staff evolved over the years, I was indeed privileged to work with a rich and diverse group of individuals deeply committed to and engaged in the work of JSF.
You always treated me as a valued part of the JSF family. The type of uniquely trusting relationship we had is not common among consultants and their clients and I have always truly treasured it. Thank you one and all.
