This year we thanked and paid tribute to Maridel Moulton upon her retirement after 25 years of service to JSF. As Maridel said in her note, our relationship with her was closer than is usual with an external consultant. We thought of Maridel as the Foundation’s physician, and we relied on her to keep the Foundation healthy. Senior leadership consulted Maridel frequently and she provided advice and service to the Board on every aspect of Foundation governance. All of this was done with humility, insight, good humor, and wisdom.
