Rick Williams is a passionate, committed advocate for and champion of Native education. As president and CEO of the American Indian College Fund, he raised over $200 million in scholarship support for Native students and Tribal colleges and universities.
During his nearly 10 years as our consultant, Rick was not only an incredible resource but also a valuable team member. Rick brought a balance of objectivity, strategic thinking, and compassion for people. He managed critical aspects of our Entrepreneurship Scholarship program, including identifying potential institutions and tracking program success. He also conducted countless site visits and maintained strong relationships with partners. I learned early that walks across a college campus with Rick would be interrupted. Students and former colleagues would frequently approach Rick with smiles and hugs, to thank and wish him well. Rick always made time for people.
On behalf of JSF, we thank Rick for his tremendous support and congratulate him on a remarkable career. His friendship and wisdom leave an indelible mark on the Foundation.
