The December meetings are behind us and the March meetings are fast approaching! We will be in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The Grant Program Committee meeting will be Sunday, March 19th. Sunday evening will be the reception and dinner with invited guests. Monday morning, March 20th we will travel to Boca Raton to visit Florida Atlantic University. Committees will meet Monday afternoon. The Board meeting will be Tuesday, March 21st. (see attached master schedule). Please advise of your plans (see attached reservations sheet).
Expense report form
The Internal Revenue Service has announced that the standard mileage rate for use of a car driven for business purposes for 2023 is set at $0.655/mile. As is our practice, this is the rate that will be used by the Foundation for the 2023 calendar year. See form attached here, and also available in Diligent Boards in Resources under Current Forms.
Access to grant files
Our Foundant Technologies platform contains JSF grants processed since we moved to that system in 2012 (and some historic information that we migrated to the system at the time). All approved grant files have records of the application and payments for each specific grant. We are in the process of adding grant agreement letters, progress reports and site visit reports. We are starting with current grants only, but plan to populate all information over time. All Directors have access to these files. See the attached directions for reviewing Foundant files.
Angie Francalancia
Congratulations to Angie, who has accepted a full-time position as Senior Writer in Florida Atlantic University’s Advancement Office starting in February. Since she joined JSF as Communication Specialist in 2019, her writing, editing and photography skills have touched every aspect of JSF’s communications, including our monthly reports, social media, newsletters, website and annual reports. Additionally, she has worked alongside grantees to help them publicize their relationship with JSF through their own news content as well as posts for our blog. We wish her the best in her new role at FAU!
