9. Such Awards will be pro-rated for part-time students based upon the percent of full-time credit load at that college/university for federal financial aid purposes with a maximum of $3,000 per year or $1,500 per semester.
10. In no case should annual scholarship funding exceed the maximum of $6,000 per calendar year.
11. At the institution’s discretion, it may modify the above GPA requirements for exceptional situations. Any such modifications must be explained on the annual report spreadsheet provided to JSF in June.
12. Scholarship Awards will be distributed by semester (or quarters), including summer sessions, if desired.
13. Full-time scholarship recipients must be enrolled in at least 2 business classes per semester to be eligible for funding. Part-time scholarship recipients must be enrolled in at least 1 business class to be eligible for an award. All scholarship recipients must be making satisfactory academic progress towards attaining an approved business or entrepreneurship degree or certificate.
14. All students who receive scholarships for summer sessions must have been enrolled in the previous winter or spring sessions and making satisfactory progress towards a business degree to receive an award.
15. Students enrolled in certificate programs must complete the certificate in one year and must be enrolled in at least 6 hours of certificate coursework per semester to be eligible for an award.
16. Applicants who have already received a degree from another institution are ineligible to receive support from JSF.
17. Students attending a two-year institution are eligible for JSF support for two years. Institutions are urged to use their discretion on how to apply this requirement.
18. Students attending a four year institution are eligible for JSF support for four years. Institutions are urged to use their discretion on how to apply this requirement.
19. Any unspent funds left in the JSF Grant will be carried over and deducted from the JSF Grant for the next academic year.
20. Modifications to the above for exceptional situations may be considered by JSF upon written request.
