TAKE STOCK/JOHNSON SCHOLARS REPORT (4)
 RECRUITMENT/GROWTH
For the fiscal year 2023-24, we successfully enrolled 197 new scholars into our program, totaling 634 students. Our student recruitment goal is to enroll 200 ninth graders for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year. We are committed to maintaining a balanced gender ratio, aiming for a 45% to 55% male-to-female distribution. This effort ensures we provide equal opportunities for young men and women to benefit from the program's support and resources.
Looking ahead, our five-year strategic goal is to expand the program significantly, with a target of supporting up to 750 students from grades 6 through 12 by the end of year five. This ambitious plan reflects our dedication to scaling our impact and reaching more students in the community. By gradually increasing our enrollment each year, we can offer comprehensive college and career readiness, mentorship, scholarships, and support services to more deserving students.
COLLEGE READINESS
Throughout the second half of the 2023-2024 academic year, our Scholar Communities (Club Schools) demonstrated excellence in facilitating diverse learning experiences and opportunities for their students. In particular, all coordinators prioritized the creation of a supportive environment for first-generation college students. These efforts culminated in a significant activity designed to provide invaluable resources, guidance, and a sense of community for students navigating higher education without familial precedent.
