artists, whose work has contributed to this triumph, as glorious and useful for the nation as it is
for the arts, will enjoy the sweet reward of seeing their talents reproduced int heir students, and
will receive from the people of France the double crown of admiration and recognition. May
that moment not be far off! May the zeal and persistence that the members of the Conservatory
bring to the important functions with which they are entrusted bring that moment all the sooner,
and repair the injustice to music in France of having suspended instruction for the past seven
years!
