SEABRIDGE COMES INTO BLOOM
Seabridge Primary School have been successful in the Newcastle in Bloom competition.
Green fingered staff and pupils were invited to a presentation event on 13th October
in which they were presented with two awards.
The borough-wide competition includes residents, businesses, schools,
community groups and a wide range of volunteers with the aim of getting
more people involved in helping to improve their local area.
Seabridge pupils wowed judges with their spectacular circus themed
garden area, complete with fancy dress, colourful wigs and even a
clown in a cannon.
The school’s hardwork paid off with Seabridge being awarded silver
in the Community Projects category and winning the Outstanding
Achievement category.
The schools participation in the competition was led by
Mrs Copeland, the Forest School Leader at Seabridge, who
successfully rallied the troops, provided a ‘mission’ brief
and ensured the whole school community was behind
the project.
We are so proud of all the staff and pupils who gave up
their time, including weekends, to ensure the memorial
garden was in tip-top shape.
Mrs Copeland and the Seabridge team, you are
blooming marvellous!
