Aircraft general knowledge

8.9.6.4 Possible faults in the oil system

After starting the engine, check the engine oil pressure. If it is not OK after 30

seconds there, the engine must be stopped and the cause investigated.

In cold weather, the oil pressure may initially be high until the oil has warmed up
                and become more fluid.

Too high an oil pressure can also be caused by a clogged oil system.

Too low an oil pressure can be a sign of a serious engine fault.

Here is an overview of oil pressure, the cause and the required action.

If incorrect oil pressure occurs during flight, you must prepare for

an (emergency) landing, depending on the circumstances.

The ignition magnet is based on the induction principle.
