     Principles of flight
We will also look at the aircraft's performance under different conditions in the
               different phases of flight.
In this subject, we will mostly cover the principles but also look at the theory
section for "flight performance and planning", where performance tables and
               charts are shown.
               5.10.1 Takeoff
The first part of the flight is the takeoff.
The takeoff phase ends with the aircraft beginning the climb to cruising altitude.
The elements that affect the takeoff and how much runway we need are:
                 - runway surface
                 - runway slope
                 - headwind/tailwind
                 - density altitude
The aircraft performs best at MSL in dense air (cold air and high pressure).
The following factors are involved in the aircraft's acceleration during the takeoff
               run:
                   - rolling resistance
                   - drag
                   - lift
                   - thrust
The thrust accelerates the aircraft forward. When the aircraft begins to roll, drag
               and lift increase.
