I feel humbled & thankful for giving me opportunity to Serve IMA Surat in capacity of President
2019- 20.May this year be very fruitful & brings prosperity to all the members of IMA Surat. A
very happy new Year!
I express my gratitude towards members for attending the IMA installation Ceremony with
funfare & musical night in large numbers. 2200 members with family attended the same &
apologize for any inconvenience in that event. I seek support & active participation of all the
members throughout the year. I would like to also thank all guests namely Hon'ble State Minister
of Health & Family Welfare Shri Kumar Kanani, Vice Chancellor of Hemchandracharya North
Gujarat University Dr. Anil Naik, Mayor Shree Surat Dr. Jagdish Patel, Hon'ble Member of
Parliament Shri C. R. Patil, MLA Smt. Sangita Patil, MLA Shri Mukesh Patel, MLA Shri Vivek Patel,
Collector Shri Dr. Dhaval Patel, Padmashree Dr. S. S Vaishya IPP GSB, Dr. Pragnesh Joshi IMA HQ
VP, IMA GSB President Dr. Chandresh Jardosh & Mr. Pankaj Giju for giving their valuable
presence. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all invited guests from different associations &
NGOs of the city.
Our body has a vision to implement Digital IMA. We will be communicating the members
through Mail / Whatsup / SMS & website & wish to strictly implement Go- Green Concept. Why
to waste money of IMA Surat & ultimately members ?? We will be sending E- Mediscene to all
members. If any member doesn't receive than please communicate to me/ Secretary Dr. Hiren
Makwana / Mediscene Chairman Dr. Hemant Patel.
As far as the Scientific programmes are concerned, under leadership of Dr. C. D. Lalwani & Dr.
Yatish Lapsiwala we want to bring more & more case discussions, panel discussions, Clinico
patho Co-relation, topics for Medical students, Research, genetics, Entrepreneurship, finance
management & so on. Suggestions are welcomed. We will also have a debate on NMC & newer
education & health policies. We are also planning to discuss about Newer guidelines for TB,
Malaria, Dengue, Swineflu & other epidemiologically important diseases. Rational use of
antibiotics is also a major concern in today's era & we will bring up a discussion on that also.
My entertainment team will be concentrating upon the development & participation of
members themselves in IMA programmes like IMA Talent Shows, kids & Gujarati musical events
to promote our own mother tongue.I am sure that our entertainment team will do good under
leadership of Dr. Hiren Vaidya, Dr. Nikunj Vithlani & their team.
We will be launching the Website Soon with the great efforts of Dr. Prashant Desai, Dr. Nitin Garg
& his team.
IMA Surat is known for its social Contributions. We will enhance our social events and will take up
sustainable projects. We will celebrate almost all health days & do screening projects, awareness
sessions, parenting seminar, breast cancer screening, lung cancer awareness, World AIDS Day
