Dear Friends and seniors,
Let me introduce myself here first, as many of our members do not know me.

I am, Dr. Hemant Patel, doing family practice at Anand Mahal Road, Adajan since more than 18

years. Formerly I was practicing at Gotalawadi, Tennament for 22 years, associated with IMA
since 1986. First time I am appearing in front of you as the editor of IMA Surat monthly Bulletin
MEDISCENE. For that I am very much thankful to energetic President Dr. Parul Vadgama and her
Team for giving me this opportunity.

It is a routine complaint that many members weren't getting MEDISCENE regularly. It might have
happened that MEDISCENE was there in clinic/ hospital desk but doctor was not informed about
it by the staff. Since long time then Presidents, Secretaries, editors and other members who are

actively involve with MEDISCENE preparation were in search of amicable solution of members'
grievances regarding MEDISCENE.

Today is era of fast communication and even laptop is going out of date gradually and whole
world's information is on palm with mobile which is not simple phone only, but computer also.
So, to match steps with world, from this issue, MEDISCENE is going to be digital version. We are
stopping to print hard copies from now. All will be getting soft copies of MEDISCENE in your
mobile via E mail and Whatsapp. Within few weeks, when IMA Surat's website and mobile

application will be ready MEDISCENE will be available on it also. SO, I appeal to all that please co
operate for the transformation of MEDISCENE from physical hard copy to digital copy. We are
eager to receive your comment/ complaint/ criticism/suggestion anything anytime on my

Your feedback will boost us to improve MEDISCENE better and better. We are also inviting your
genuine articles, paper presentation, and research study, achievement in any field or any other
things you may find it helpful / motivating to other members.

I think this is enough for my introductory write up as the editor. I expect your support in all kind to
make MEDISCENE better and better and reader friendly.
