Hands On Me Fool In The Mask

(music and lyrics by Rachel mason
and Ashton Tucker) For my final trick
I’ll transform into a holy relic
I’m reckless, no ones got a hold on me No light and no air
You’re breathless hearing my philosophy So no damage or need for repair.
Those lines you say Faces all look the same
No, it ain’t working that way I see their intent to cause me pain
If you’re wanting me At least I’m safe in there
You gotta work it baby Under the sign that says “handle with care.”
                       Come here, let’s dance
You think you can’t but you can Star attraction
When the lights go down Don’t walk on past
                                                                              I’ll make you laugh
Cmon bless my soul Come and see me
I wanna loose control Under the glass
Gimme what I need The fool in the mask
                       Put your hands on me
                                                                             Life has passed me by
More champagne for my ladies on the floor My lonely world will intensify
Beat dropping under neon Here in solitude
Go on boy and stare some more No one to hurt me no one to intrude.
Please understand Through my cracked veneer
Don’t wanna make you my man You’ll glimpse at the heartache that lead me here
Cuz I feel so free A comic work of art
It’s how I like it baby So come see the girl with the broken heart.
                        But when you smile
I think I’m liking your style Can you help me I long to be free?
Put your lips on mine I may be broken but hope is the key.
There is a world that I long to see,
Glitter on my face Break glass in case of emergency.
Put your hands on my waist
Baby, let’s take our time Follow this link to listen...
                      Getting lost in the sound
                      Till the beat breaks down
                        Boy I want this high

ool In The Mask (2015) I wrote this after a bad
Fbreakup where I felt if I was ever hurt that much
again I would be too broken to go on, so I kept
myself away from human affection to avoid the
possibly of pain, in a protective case like a relic in
a museum. I realised in the end it wasn’t doing me
any good and that I would eventually need to break
through the glass and live my life. This song was
written as part of my Masters final project.
