8 One Down, Thousands To Go

Yes folks, our first edition is now a distant memory as number two flies
out off the shelves into the waiting screens of our masses. Ok, bit of an
exageration, but hey, there’s no harm in making ourselves look good.
Seriously, I managed to get the first issue out on a wing and a prayer
amidst a mass of upheaval due to moving home, setting up our new base
loads of other stuff I won’t bore you with. Thankfully, this month is a
12 So what can we expect in our second edition? As I thought, the first
                                           more relaxed affair.

edition was going to light the touchpaper for our many contributors
to bring in ace content and I promise, this edition will not disappoint.
Vossie has been working his magic in bringing back the co-writers from
last month plus a few more features.

My particular favourite, Dries De Wet takes us to the park at the tip of
the continent in a stunning article about Cape Agulhas. Definitely one
                                           to read, that one.
14 As for me, I’m taking a trip to one of the most iconic surfing locations

on the planet, Jeffreys Bay or known to us surfy dudes as J-Bay. I felt
this needed to be my surf spot for this month as it is South Africas most
famous spot and also a spot of contention between the Surfing fraternity
and the local Great White Shark community. Hmmm...

Welcome back to Hester with another great article and also welcome to
several new spots such as the poetry, and dare I say it, the bosses boss,
Moira gets her feet tapping at Riverdance.

So please do enjoy flicking through our pages over your cup of coffee
and favourite cookies and remember, if you haven’t done so already,
to subscribe to SAFFER Worldwide to ensure it gets delivered to your

                           18 That’s all for now
