Magazine & Website

        Nutz & Boltz’s…

Another month passes… phew… time lashes on, regardless.
Yep, regardless of our best made plans or good intentions.
OK, so… let’s have a brief chat about the magazine – for
        starters.

        • This month we run with our first “real” music post.
        Way overdue – as the website hosts a radio – 24/ 7/ 365 mu-
sic and chat – we should have a music article or three each
month - what do you think? A little more background on
the topic of discussion for this first music article. I stumbled
upon the music of Piet Botha and then onto the biography
done by Brian Currin which lead to the placing of the article.
Don’t skip the piece – go to Page 22 – if you haven’t done so
        yet.
        • OK… so, with real live sport beginning to happen
        – we are always looking for fresh, unique content. May it
be about your children’s school cricket team or your local
parish/ district rugby boys and girls, we’ll give anyone who African connections will be appreciated.
fits into the Saffer and friends bracket a fair go at sharing your • We need more sport articles – yes, from you! Thanks!
stories. • I’m hoping to have content from China in the near
        • As for the book corner – much like the Letters future – and also the beginnings of a series about the art of
page – it’s actually yours. Please send reviews of books you’ve Bonsai
enjoyed; we’ll feature the book. Any books with direct South

OK – time to chat about the website. It is an ever-evolving
piece of art. My art. I am no computer programmer – I’m
basically a small-time blogger who tries his hand at keeping
this platform interesting. Therefore – I make glaring mistakes
and don’t realise it. Then Paul, the Magazine Mechanic must
ride to the rescue. However – Paul is a very busy man so it
may take a week or so before he gets around to undoing my
                                                              blunders.

I tend to do these modifications to the website on the laptop
and not for mobile platforms – the results being that there are
often errors when you view the website via mobile or even
tablet. Look at it this way – one day I’ll get better – and hope
you don’t abandon our platform way before then.

So, we grow – and with your help we keep growing. I ask
again, share and keep sharing – our main aim stays building
friendships – being the point of connection for others who
want to chat and share snippets of fun and frivolity.

I’ll head into the sunset – with two cool retro photos. Just
think – Woodstock happened more than 50 years ago. The
vinyl triple LP in my possession is a first release and is a tad
over 50! I think I’ll have to have a wee party to celebrate! The
second photo is one that the Editor in Chief found on a FB
group… not sure of the details but it fits well into this month
                                                              – when the 2020 J-Bay Open was supposed to happen.

PS – Last but not least – we always need DJ’s for the radio…
speak with us, it’s easy and it’s great fun!
